An example of how important pipelines are.

Trudeau Airport jet fuel pipeline is off line.

As a result of the shutdown tanker-trucks will be used to bring aviation fuel to the airport.

The report says based on flight schedules as many as 260 trucks a day from Ontario and Quebec will be needed to meet the airport's daily needs.

So if China can't get access to its bought and paid for oil, then what?

What does it matter when it's out of his hands? After all, it's environmental issues and the indigenous reconciliation process defeating the pipeline...right? It's not his fault, his hands are tied...right? I'm sure it's nothing a massive penalty for failing to honor an international agreement can't solve. Trudeau has an endless supply of taxpayer money at his disposal.

It will all balance itself...and if it doesn't... meh, it's only money. The green jobs and cleaner energy options will maybe save our economy.

Knocking up the price of gas, diesel and aviation fuel to around $3.00 will have a motivating effect

I hate to be repetitive, but we have to acknowledge who we are dealing with, and what his true motives are.

"We can’t shut down the oilsands tomorrow. We need to phase them out. We need to manage the transition off of our dependence on fossil fuels but it’s going to take time and in the meantime we have to manage that transition." - Justin Trudeau

Someone tell Jagmeet that the engineers that design dimmer switches on automobiles are first taught the concept of make before break.

Surprise, surprise...more delays. Never saw this coming, what a shocker. Anyone who believes Trudeau has any interest whatsoever in completing this project is a fool.

Trans Mountain pipeline construction has been delayed

Natural Resources Minister Amarjeet Sohi didn't provide an update on when the pipeline would be completed.

Canada’s resource minister said on Wednesday that construction on the Trans Mountain project had faced a delay, but he did not provide an update on when the expansion of the oil pipeline from Alberta to British Columbia’s coast would be complete.

“Yes, there’s a delay because of — the construction was stopped for a couple of months, but this is a project that is moving forward and will continue to move forward until it’s done,” Natural Resources Minister Amarjeet Sohi told reporters outside a Cabinet meeting in Nanaimo, British Columbia.

I have a funny feeling that there will be zero progress on construction before...oh, say October 21st, 2019.

Trans Mountain’s first oil spill response ship ready

A total of $150-million is being spent on new response bases and vessels along the B.C. coast

The first oil spill response vessel for the Trans Mountain project was launched in Prince Rupert on June 12.
“We’re having four built in Broadwater in Prince Rupert but a lot of the others being built overseas and in the U.S. We used a number of different shipyards,” said Michael Lowry, Western Canada Marine Response Corp. (WCMRC) communications manager.
The spill response organziation is adding 40 vessels to its fleet specifically for the Trans Mountain project to twin the crude oil pipeline from Edmonton to Burnaby.
Along with the project, Trans Mountain is funding WCMRC’s spill response enhancement program. A total of $150-million is being spent on new bases and vessels along the west coast.

Built for speed to get containment booms in place. What type of vessel would you prefer and what the f-ck are you expecting a spill to look like?

Poor LIE-berals!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their words are coming back to haunt them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our idiot Boy Justin told us he wanted to SHUT DOWN the entire Alberta oil patch during the 2015 election!!!!!!! And he told us he thinks Kinder Morgan is essential to Cdn economy........apparently he is like NDPers who tell us they want to subsidize Cdn auto makers of gas powered cars while making it too costly to actually DRIVE those cars!!!!!!!!!!!! Logic is NOT a strong socialist characteristic!!!!!!!!!!! Our idiot Boy will turn our economy into the Soviet model- subsidizing products we do not want and cannot afford- such as electric Toy cars- while also refusing to build public transit- because LIE-berals are too busy BUYING the votes of civil service union Hogs and assorted illegals and bands of bigots from the likes of Black Lives Matter and Idle No More!!!!

We sell our oil to the Americans for under world oil price. Once the pipeline in built Canada will get world price for their oil to foreign markets

This is hard to believe since all that goo is going straight down to the States.

It is an inferior product, which is why it receives an inferior price. And nobody wants it.

China wants it, Europe wants it and everyone wants it and when the pipeline is built Canada will prosper more

It won't all go to the states when the expansion is complete.

LIE-berals simply CANNOT enter into a debate without issuing FAKE NEWS!!! They tell us we get lower prices for oil because our product "is inferior"!!!!!!!!!!!! That is Fake News!!!!!!!!!!!!! We get lower prices- that were set back when oil was much cheaper and it was not economical to ship Cdn oil far outside the country!!!!!!!!!! LIE- berals also ignore reality in that our oil is refined almost exclusively at refineries OWNED by foreigners- mostly Yankees and they want what LIE-berals want- LOTS OF GRAVY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LIE-berals tell us they will build Kinder Morgan pipeline- but will NOT tell us that construction will NEVER begin under a LIE-beral majority govt!!!!!!!!!!!! Kinder Morgan will ONLY be built IF Our idiot Boy Justin finds himself leading a minority govt and needs a bargaining card to survive!!!!!!!!! Is it not absurd that LIE-berals issue so much Faje News and yet RESENT being called LIE-berals?????????? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

California. They have upgraders.

Oil sands upgraders may make a comeback amid pipeline crises

Robert Tuttle, Bloomberg News

Turning Canada’s heavy oil sands into a more marketable kind of crude is making a comeback, or rather half a comeback.

Alberta’s government’s $1 billion dollar pledge will help support the construction of smaller and cheaper varieties of upgraders. The so-called partial upgraders would process the sticky oil just enough so that it can flow freely through pipelines without adding ultra-light condensate. The government expects that as many as five private investors will infuse about $5 billion in the sector.

Cold Lake has the same material and the extraction is heat and then NG pressure pushes the sludge out of the hole and the NG is extracted last. The only hit to the world right now is because Venezuela is under sanctions so their heavy oil has no buyers. Once the sanctions end they can produce it at almost no extra cost so good-bye Ft Mac and Cold Lake as far as being able to export it.
BTW heavy oil is used to pave roads rather than run the vehicles that drive on it. Ft Mac should have 4 rails and the cargo is tar with the sand left in. That would be in 'heated rail cars' so the heat can be turned on at the destination and the car turned upside down so the cargo comes out in 1 lump. Later it made into asphalt by adding small rocks, IMO the products only needs to be taken to the site and a little heat would allow machines to spread it out and pack it a bit and you have a road. In the summer on a hot day send a grader down to smooth it back pout again.

For all you Sherlocks that wonder where the oil came the Pacific Rift originally started at the AB/BC border and has migrated west to its current location over a long period of time. When it was above the water plants and such would float and the rock underneath is what was moving. Once water covered it the 'mud' would also float except if it was trapped in a rock slide and then it would go under with the rock and as it got closer to the magma the heat and pressure and time cooked into what is recovered today. The tar sand is mud from above the waterline pushed into a pile and covered so it cooked just enough to become what we find today. Soon as our scientists give up on dino farts being the cause we can move onto some important things.
